    How to insert a picture

Post by cuddlyasatiger on Sat Sep 22, 2012 12:08 am

    * You cannot do this from the Quick Reply box

In that magical row of buttons above the "Post" box, the fifth set of buttons. The first is "Host an Image", the second is "Insert Image"

To insert an image from a file on your computer, you must first 'host' it.
Click "Host an Image" Put in the file
You must resize the image down to 320 px width
Click "Host It" at the bottom of the box

Another box will come up. Copy the third option.

Back to the row of buttons up top, click "Insert Image"
Right-click in the blank field and hit "Paste"
    Click "Ok"

At the bottom of the Reply box (it will always appear at the bottom of the box), something like this should appear:

    Code:
    [img]http://i41.servimg.com/u/f41/17/61/22/33/47260713.jpg[/img]

    That is your picture.

*If the picture is already hosted (like on photobucket), you can skip the hosting part.

*Some host services, like photobucket, will give you a ready code (a ready code is bracketed by [img][/img]) These are handy because you can just paste them into your message wherever you want the picture to go, and you can do it this way from the Quick Reply box.
