Re: There's No Place Like Home
Definitely one of my favorite episodes in all 3 seasons! I think that it was a wonderful way to end up the Oz themed arc and at the same time get Emma to see she really does have a home and like Dorothy found out there is no place like home! I am so sad for Regina. I can't wait to see how things work out with that situation. I think you are right in that she and Robin Hood have been destined to be together so I also wondered what is going to happen because of Marion's return. I have always been a Hook/Emma fan and I am so happy with the way this episode was written. All the little moments like where Emma said it took her parents a while to figure out their feelings and Hook said it must run in the family. The smile on Emma's face when she realized she was witnessing her mom "attack" her dad. Everything was a link to her past that made her realize she did have a home and did miss it. I loved that they named the baby Neal! Season 3 has been the best writing yet and I can't wait until season 4 to see their twist on Elsa - The Snow Queen. I agree that I think they will probably go with the more traditional character rather than the Disney character. But knowing the writers it will be wonderful either way. Now I just have to get through the long summer without my favorite show.Ranna156 wrote:I have to say that I really loved this episode! The Hook & Emma moments were so sweet! The Belle & Rumple wedding was pretty sweet too…there was something about it that reminded me of Star Wars…maybe because there were only like 4 people there…but it was still sweet! And somewhere I said I thought they were going to do a Back to the Future theme for the finale…ahem ahem!
I knew something big had happened with that ship but I will say I didn’t see it coming that he sold it…if you weren’t a captainswan shipper before that I don’t know how you can’t be after hearing he SOLD THE ROLLY JOGGER (in drunk Hook words) for Emma!
Considering the number of seasons to make Regina Evil = 1; the # of seasons to redeem Regina = 2; I have to wonder if her words at the end about not thinking of consequences had more meaning than ‘you just brought back my new love’s wife and ruined my happiness’. I think there is more to it…like the universe will try and correct itself and kill off Marian again and Regina knows it…Which she will also know that Robin and Roland will have to go through the pain AGAIN of losing her (and really Roland for the first time since he would have just been a baby). One can hope anyway…guess we will find out in season 4. I just can’t see them setting her back to square 1 after all they have done to redeem her. I would think it would also be an interesting love triangle since Robin & Regina have genuine feelings for each other…not to mention it was ‘destined’ since he has the lion tattoo…anyway moving on to next thoughts…
Interesting that Belle was prisoner of Rumple before Snow & Charming met! That should help with the timeline…
Lastly (for now anyway…since I can’t remember any more of my thoughts at the moment) the new character. I have never seen Frozen and have never read The Snow Queen (which was a tale by Hans C Anderson that Frozen was based on). However I did read synopsis’s on both stories today and I have to say they are very different. It seems to me the HCA original story leaves the back story and the power of the Snow Queen more open than what Frozen did…so I am leaning the writers are going to go down that path…with maybe some clothes/hair etc from Frozen thrown in. Also considering that ‘magic’ was in the vault of such dark magic that even Rumple couldn’t understand doesn’t sound very Disney to me…anyway guess we will see!
Oh and a couple more thoughts…back to ‘correcting the universe thoughts’ I thought it very interesting that a few trolls were still turned into bugs like the original storyline AND one was crushed like Charming crushed him! Haha
Also I thought we were suppose to see Will Scarlet in the finale??? No? Maybe that was just rumor…or maybe he was cut…
