Short Bio:
Daniel is Regina's true love, but he works in her family's stables which makes him not good enough by any means in her mother's eyes. When Cora, her mother, learns of their plans to elope she meets the couple in the stable. In front of her daughter, she rips out Daniel's heart and crushes it, killing him.
In Storybrooke, Regina has brought Daniel's preserved body as part of the mausoleum/vault.
Now that the curse has been broken in Storybrooke, Dr. Whale mistakenly believes Regina can send him home to his world. He brings Daniel back from the dead in a futile attempt to win Regina's favor. Re-animated Daniel, though, is a monster. Lashing out and trying to kill everyone he sees. Regina finally connects with him, he tells her she must let him go and love again. As he attacks her again, she turns him to dust.
